Dentist? = Overrated

I think the dentist is 100% overrated. The marginal benefit that one gets from going to an appointment is severely overshadowed with all of the picking, pocking, and prodding. I loathe going to the dentist, in fact, I changed my appointment 3 times this year to try and get out of it. But, they are quite a persistent bunch. When I am sitting in the chair, absolutely dreading the next hour, I contemplate my life decisions as they have led me to sit in this torture chamber. I cannot swallow, talk, or even open my eyes under the fluorescent heat lamp. It is quite a miserable experience. I am sure that it is important to have clean teeth, but the impact of clean teeth will never out way the wretched experience that the dentist office brings.
